Welcome to the Ignatius Wolfpack Lacrosse Club
TP_playerThe Ignatius Wolfpack Lacrosse Club was formed in 2002 and since then has progressed into a competitive team on the field while developing young men for the rigors of life off the field. The Wolfpack competes in the Chicago Catholic League (CCL) of the Illinois High School Lacrosse Association (IHSLA) where the popularity of the sport is advancing rapidly. Some of the team highlights since its inception are two (2) Academic All-American players in 2006, nineteen (19) First Team All-Conference players, eight (8) Second Team All-Conference players, one (1) Honorable Mention All-Conference player, winning the Illinois High School Lacrosse Association (IHSLA) Class B state championship title in 2009 along with and winning the Chicago Metro League Championships in 2007, 2008 and 2009. The team looks to grow those numbers this year and beyond.

The Program
The Wolfpack lacrosse team continues to grow in both size and strength. When Coach Stevenson took over the program 6 years ago there were 17 team members. In 2010 we will have nearly 70 on the roster and the future looks even brighter for great growth. The Coaching staff is dedicated to delivering to the young men on the team a challenging environment that gets results and provides a rewarding experience. As a program we have short and long term goals, one of which included winning the Class B State Championship at Toyota Park in June of 2009.

Outside of lacrosse we demand a great deal of our young men, making academics priority #1. We stress the importance of dedication to the team and its goals along with staying committed to their academic and other extracurricular activities. We also stress off season programs to help develop skills outside of the Wolfpack team practices and games. We have many multi-sport athletes including soccer, hockey, crew, football and basketball. Finally, we do offer and strongly encourage our team members to attend Ignatius lacrosse camps during the off season and/or head out east to attend lacrosse camps and be challenged by other lacrosse players in strong programs.

Coaching Staff
The Coaching staff consists of highly skilled and dedicated coaches that have played in college (Division I or III) or beyond. The Head Coach, Drew Stevenson, who is entering his 6th full season at the helm, has compiled a record of 59-28. Andrew McCaffrey, Head Coach of the Junior Varsity returns for his 3rd year. Also returning to the Wolfpack are Peter Hutchen, Steven Hettrich, Justin Smith, Ed Costello, John Conroy as assistants and Percy Gibson as Strength & Conditioning Coach.
